Alioramus

Alioramus was a slender, bipedal tyrannosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period. It was a swift carnivore with a long, narrow snout and rows of bony crests on its nose, and it likely hunted smaller, faster prey rather than relying on the bone-crushing bite of larger relatives like T. rex.

Dimorphism: Males are colors of tan, orange, black, or yellow. Females are blues, greens, purples, and pinks

Habitat: Can be found nesting anywhere in Riparia or Gondwa. Suggested areas:
Riparia: Redwoods, Hollow Hills, Wind Tunnels
Gondwa: Broken Tooth, Big Quill Lake, Stego Mountain

Diet: Carnivore

Active time: Cathemeral (active during the day and night, only able to sleep during the early morning or very late night)

Group limit: 10 alios split into 2 groups (5 in one and 5 in another) and having unlimited offspring

Behavior

Alioramus is strategic and quick on its feet, able to run for miles. Unfortunately, they rely on teamwork within large groups that are often loosely formed from several families coming together. These big groups stay together only for hunting, since Alioramus needs a constant food source.

Alioramus is always on the move, never staying in one place for long unless there is plenty of food to go around. If any Yutyrannus comes into sight, they hunt it down without hesitation due to their hatred of its feathers, believing Yutyrannus does not deserve to look that magnificent.

These nimble and agile carnivores are often looked down upon by other species, so they frequently stay on cliffs or high rocks to elevate themselves above others in the area. This helps them feel more confident and gives them a better view of their surroundings. Their stomachs require constant fuel to keep them moving, which makes Alioramus a highly nomadic species whenever food becomes scarce (unable to hunt another player for 10 minutes).

When alone, they can sometimes be found hanging around larger tyrannosaurids such as Daspletosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Tyrannotitan, and Zhuchengtyrannus, scavenging from their kills or waiting for an opportunity to find a mate. During winter, all Alioramus gather at Stego Mountain, using the cliffs and slopes to protect their nests and eggs.

Nothing Like Teamwork

Alioramus thrives when surrounded by its own kind. When together, they rely on teamwork, sharing scavenged corpses or coordinating to bring down easier prey (able to hunt once hunger hits 70%). Moving as a unit gives them confidence, efficiency, and a far better chance at keeping their fast-burning energy reserves filled.

Nomadic Life

Alioramus is constantly on the move, shifting between POIs in search of reliable hunting grounds. They rarely settle for long, since population spikes or declines quickly disrupt the balance they need to survive. Their restless nature and ever-changing environment keep them wandering from place to place.

You’re Not Meant to Look Pretty

Alioramus harbors an intense dislike for Yutyrannus, irritated by the bright, lavish feathers it believes no rival should display. The moment a Yutyrannus enters the POI, Alioramus’ focus snaps to it, abandoning all other targets. This deep-seated rivalry pushes Alioramus to hunt Yutyrannus on sight (able to hunt them down at any hunger).

Pride Above All Else

Alioramus carries a stubborn need to appear taller, tougher, and more in control than its reputation suggests. To satisfy this instinct, individuals climb cliffs or high rocks not just for safety but to project confidence and dominance over the area. From these elevated spots, they survey anything that moves and reassure themselves that nothing towers above them. Their hunger, however, is relentless, forcing them to abandon these proud perches after only a short time (5-10 mins).

Tyrannosaurid Parasite

When alone, Alioramus can often be found lingering near larger tyrannosaurids such as Daspletosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Tyrannotitan, and Zhuchengtyrannus. They shadow these giants at a safe distance, waiting for an opportunity to scavenge off their kills and take advantage of whatever scraps they can.

Cliff Hider

During winter, all Alioramus gather at Stego Mountain, using the surrounding cliffs and rocky slopes to shield their nests and eggs. The elevated terrain offers protection from predators and harsh weather, making it their preferred refuge for the season.

Alioramus becomes easily distracted whenever something bright, colorful, or reflective catches its eye. A single shimmer is often enough to pull its attention away from whatever it was doing, curiosity overriding caution in an instant.
