WE’RE BACK ON GONDWA
We’re bringing back a little nostalgia and revisiting a map filled with familiar hunts, migrations, fights, and memories.
For now, we’re giving Gondwa a few weeks to see how it feels with Ashes of Apex today.
Then, on August 31st, the choice goes to you.
> Keep Gondwa
>Return to Riparia
Until then, explore, rediscover your favorite places, and give Gondwa a fair run before deciding which map you want to call home.
Welcome back to Gondwa, Emberlings!
A few exciting changes have arrived in Ashes of Apex

Leviathan has been added!
Profile is in the works, please allow us some time. In the meantime, follow the rules for creatures without a completed species profile.

Lisowicia has returned!
The mighty herbivore is once again available on the server and ready to reclaim its place in the realm.

The highly anticipated Bristlewing mod is now live!
After plenty of waiting, Bristlewing has officially arrived. We know many of you have been looking forward to this one, so get in there and check it out!
You voted, and we listened!
The player-spawn channel has officially been removed after “Remove it!” won the community poll.
Please allow at least two weeks for profiles to be completed. Bristlewing’s profile will likely be available sooner, but we appreciate your patience while everything is finalized.
Happy surviving!

COMBAT STAT RESET
After reviewing our current creature balance and the number of custom overrides on the server, we have decided to temporarily reset our creatures back to their base combat stats.
TL;DR
Custom combat stat changes have been temporarily removed so we can evaluate creatures closer to their base combat balance. Movement and quality-of-life adjustments will mostly remain. We will monitor performance over the next few weeks and add back targeted combat changes where they are genuinely needed.
This reset includes custom changes to:
- Combat weight
- Health and armor
- Attack damage
- Bleed, bone break, and knockback
- Combat abilities and attack cooldowns
Most movement, stamina, jump, flight, swimming, and other quality-of-life adjustments remain in place.
Each creature’s profile will also be updated to reflect its current stat changes and tier, where applicable. Profile updates are currently in progress and will be completed by the end of the day.
Why are we doing this?
A great deal has changed since we opened this server, including new creatures, updates, TLCs, and our own balancing adjustments. With so many custom combat changes already in place, it can be difficult to get a clear feel for how each creature actually performs.
Returning to base combat stats gives us a more consistent starting point and may help level things out across the roster. It will also allow us to better evaluate which creatures genuinely need adjustments rather than judging them through layers of previous changes.
Is this permanent?
No. This is not the end of custom balancing.
Over the next several weeks, we will be testing creatures, observing their performance during normal gameplay and Fight Night, and gathering feedback from the community. Once we have had enough time to evaluate creatures at base, targeted combat adjustments will be added back where they are genuinely needed.
Our goal is to create a cleaner foundation so that future changes are more consistent and easier to evaluate. Happy hunting, and may your favorite creature survive its partial return to the basics!

Migration Buffs Have Arrived!
Traveling to the Migration area now comes with an extra reward!
Once you’ve reached the current migration area, simply use !migration in Local Chat to claim your rewards:
+2,500 Marks
+5% Attack Damage Buff
The command will reward players who have successfully reached the active migration area, giving you an extra incentive to travel with the seasons.
This buff stacks, and remains active until you switch dinos, log out, die, or the server restarts.
We’re not finished yet! We’re already working on an additional migration buff that will be coming soon, so stay tuned for even more reasons to follow the migrations.
Happy migrating!

Sesonal Migrations Rollout
You will start seeing seasons and migration areas announced across the server.
These are part of a permanent four-season rotation system and are not the same as the staff-run testing events many of you are familiar with.
As these changes are introduced, please take a moment to review your creature’s profile. Some species have seasonal nesting and/or hunting restrictions or preferences, while others do not. Be sure you know what applies to your creature before heading out.
A reminder that your creature’s preferred habitat remains its primary nesting location. If your profile specifies a particular nesting season, you should establish your nest within your preferred habitat or POI first, then travel to the active migration zone for that season once your family is ready to move.
If your profile does not specify a nesting season, assume your species nests during Spring or Summer. Some profiles may be updated with specific requirements or preferences in the near future. Any profile updates will be announced when they are released.
Carnivores may initiate hunts at 80% hunger or below during Fall and 20% hunger or below during Winter. Spring and Summer follow the standard hunting rules unless otherwise specified by a creature’s profile.
Check out our new Seasons channel so you know at a glance what the current season is, where migrations are taking place, and any rule adjustments that may apply.
We are also still working on getting automated system and/or whisper messages in-game when the season changes. For now, please bear with us while we continue fine-tuning the system.
To help everyone adjust and to allow for tweaks, there will be a two-week grace period beginning today (6/11/26). During this time, staff will focus on education and guidance while players become familiar with the new expectations.
Good luck out there, and happy migrating!

More Creature Additions
Well… they’re finally here! After what felt like forever (but was actually a month), the bug preventing their release has finally been resolved, and both creatures are now available on the server.
New additions:
-Asylum’s Giraffe,
-Asylum’s Feline,
If you’ve been patiently waiting for either of these, your time has come. If you haven’t, congratulations; here’s more creatures anyway.
As always, profiles for newly added creatures take time to create, test, balance, and review. Please allow a minimum of two weeks before expecting profile releases.
For those planning to play them, remember that a new creature does not mean immune to consequences. Until profiles are released, both creatures fall under the default realism rules. Take some time to learn their abilities and play them responsibly while we gather feedback and evaluate their place within the roster.
May the survival odds be ever in your favor!

The Roster Continues to grow!
New additions:
-Primal Wrath’s Pachyrhinosaurus,
-Marvelous Mods’ Playable Wonambi,
A quick note regarding Wonambi (also known as a danger noodle, nope rope, or “absolutely not”): Wonambi is a critter. If you choose to play one, don’t be surprised if other players mistake you for an actual critter and treat you accordingly.
Primal Wrath’s Pachyrhinosaurus should follow the current Pachy profile. Adjustments and profile-specific tweaks may follow as we continue testing and evaluating the mod.
The profile for the Wonambi will be released as soon as possible; please allow at least two weeks minimum. Until then, it will fall under the server’s default realism rules. As always, profile creation, review, balancing, and testing take time, and we appreciate your patience while our team works through the growing roster.
In other news, the Deltadromeus, Ankylorhiza, and Ursa profiles have now been posted. As always, if you’re planning to play one, please familiarize yourself with their behaviors before setting off on your next adventure.
Happy surviving, and watch where you slither!
